Renault Clio & Captur get range updates
The new Renault Clio and the new Renault Captur really haven’t been with us very long, but that’s not stopping Renault from extending the range of options. Both the Clio and Captur can now be ordered with the six-speed EDC auto fitted to the dCi 90 diesel engine, offering an extra option for those who just want an easy drive. If you opt for the EDC ‘box on the new Captur, you’ll get (official) economy of 72.4mpg and emissions of 95g/km, whilst the Clio offers 76mpg and 83.1mpg.
Chrysler Group revealed photographs and the name of its replacement for the Jeep Liberty on Friday after unofficial photographs of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee showed up earlier in the day. The automaker had hoped to keep the mid-size SUV -- and its name -- secret until a planned reveal at the New York auto show in late March. However, photos of several 2014 Cherokees taken during pre-production at Chrysler's Toledo North Assembly plant were unveiled Friday morning on the site Jalopnik.com.

Porsche is revamping its flagship Cayenne SUV, boosting performance and economy, improving comfort and specification, and introducing – it claims – a ground-breaking plug-in hybrid model. The five-model range will be in dealerships from 11 October, priced from £49,902 for the base diesel. For speed, the uprated Cayenne Turbo is the obvious flagship, but the Cayenne S E-Hybrid is a bit more three-dimensional.
